Okay, so here it is.

Some time ago, when I was about 30 something, I was working as a maintenance supervisor on the graveyard shift at a hotel. I was stripping the finish on the floor of one of the back hallways when I lost my footing on the very slippery floor and I came down on top of the stripping machine. I landed on my side with my rib cage hitting the top of the machine. I’m a fairly big guy, 220 lbs. plus gravity plus machine. needless to say, it knocked the wind out of me. I went to the doctor the next day, nothing broken but my ribs were bruised on my right side. I was sent home with an elastic brace or wrap for my torso which I used for the next 4 weeks. I started stretching and took some aspirin equivalent during that time. After the four weeks I still had to be careful, some movements still caused pain. Eventually, I mended.

Fast forward about 17 years. I am no longer in maintenance. Now I run a small shop, mostly by myself. I injured my ribs in a similar way. Nothing broken but bruised and sore and I felt just as stupid as before. This time I had access to an EFS 100. I placed the bulb directly on my ribs and did some stretching at the same time. I did not use a brace or take any aspirin this time. I was able to resume a moderately active lifestyle within the first week and I could barely tell I injured myself midway through the second week. Since then I have stressed various joints and muscles. Mostly because I work hard, especially my wrists and shoulders. The EFS keeps me active and limber. I still do the stretching and I try not to be stupid but that only goes so far, accidents will happen. I am getting older now, 50+, and I am very glad to have a device like this to help me through my own blunders.
